We received a message earlier today regarding a close call on Kings Road. The pavement is closed with signage requesting pedestrians to use the opposite pavement. Seemingly while crossing the road a pedestrian was almost hit by a car. UK Power Networks (UKPN) need to undertake essential Electrical Works on Polesteeple Hill Road. The closure between Mount Pleasant and Falcons Close will commence on the 24th August for approximately 4 days. All through traffic will be divert through Sunningvale Road. UKPN will be arranging information to be sent to residents regarding the closure and diversions.

Work begins tomorrow (23rd) on the new Pedestrian Crossing in the Main Road near the junction with Edward Road, the work is planned to take about 2 weeks, so be prepared for some Traffic hold-ups, but hopefully the end product will be worth the wait.
