The Biggin Hill Residents Association has been talking to both Thames Water and the Council about the leak by the traffic lights which seems to have been going on most of the summer. Councillor Melanie Stevens has provided a much needed update to share
“The Thames Water contractor that will be fixing this leak, have advised that their works were aborted at last weekend, Sunday 16/08/2015, due to a traffic management issue. They will be re-attending on Friday 21/08/2015 in the evening, starting works at 19:00 under three way lights. TFL buses require the bus stop at Lebanon Gardens to be suspended and have requested Thames Water to complete their works at this time so it is unaffected during the week.
Due to the area being slimy and green, a request for someone to attend to clean away this residue yesterday was made, so that the slip hazard is removed until the leak is fixed.”
