Biggin Hill Residents Association was founded in 1934 and has since played an important part in the community and continues to do so today.
Our funding is made up from what we are able to raise from members and more recently a Community Fund.
When the Association was first created, one of the first tasks was to assist with the planning, control of building on the land and campaigning for street lighting. The village was mostly made up plots with small shacks built for Londoners to have their weekend breaks.
By the 60s, Biggin Hill was developing into a village and the association campaigned long and hard to get a Gas supply down to the Valley which is now used by all
In the 70s the association campaigned to get the 320 bus service to go down to the valley. This involved gaining hundreds of signatures from businesses and residents on petitions and lobbying London Transport. We are trying to detail the BHRA history further. Keep coming back for further updates
